I can’t claim to be an expert on ballet, but even as a novice I know that this production was amazing! The hubby and I were able to enjoy and evening out at the Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcraker, thanks to Macaroni Kid of Conyers and Lithonia I was the lucky recipient of two tickets via a giveaway! When I won I wasn’t sure if this was something the hubby would be interested in going to see, but like myself he had always wanted to see a production of the Nutcracker and just never had the opportunity. So we got all dolled up and headed to the heart of Atlanta to experience Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcracker!
Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcracker
The tradition continues with the magical return of Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcracker. This family favorite will bring the holiday season to life for your family with exquisite dancing, fanciful characters, and a thrilling trip into the Sugar Candy Kingdom. Perfect for all ages, Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcracker will delight and spark the imagination of the child within us all!
My Experience
I am sure there are many others who like myself had never attended a professional ballet production (I’m pretty sure my nieces ballet recital doesn’t count) so if you are interested in go here is my perspective as a first timer. It being at the Fox Theater, really set the stage for me. We were greeted by a very enthusiastic man welcoming us to the “FABULOUS FOX THEATER”, and than entered int the historic warmth that only the Fox Theater can provide. From there the ballet itself was an absolutely outstanding and flawless performance. The illusions added even more magic to the ballet experience. The dancers were wonderful and the children added whimsy. SPOILER ALERT I absolutely adored the sheep as they pranced around the stage. My attention never faded because it was such a dynamic performance, we even got snowed on. If this is the standard of the Atlanta Ballet they just added to more fans sd thr hubby loved just as much if not more than I did!
Don’t miss out on an opportunity to see this production, the Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcracker is running from now until December 29, 2013!
I’ve never been to a ballet, but it sounds like you had a lovely time! One of these days I will finally make time to see one!

One of my favorite childhood holiday memories is of my mom taking me & my sister along with another mom and her two sons to see The Nutcracker at Lincoln Center in NYC – it was so magical and I can’t wait until my own kids are old enough to share this holiday story with them!
