Everyone loves a good cook-off that is why I was so excited to hear about Johnsonville Sausage Hosting a Firehouse Challenge right here in Metro Atlanta. Whose best to do a cook-off other that the men and women that are Atlanta Firefighters, being on duty 24/7 I am sure they have become the experts of one pot masterpieces. And to top it off in addition to the attendees weighing in with which firehouse they thought did it best there is also a Special Judge Atlanta Falcon Desmond Trufant! Did I mention this is a free event so come out and support your local community helpers!
Official Details of the Firehouse Cook-Off
Johnsonville is hosting a firehouse cook-off in Atlanta on Tuesday, which will feature a pair of local firehouses competing for the title of best chili or stew recipe. The recipes will be judged by event attendees, including special guest, Desmond Trufant, cornerback of the Atlanta Falcons. The event is open to the public and food samples will be free for all attendees. Johnsonville is also donating $5,000 to the Atlanta fire department to show support and appreciation for their hard work in the community.
