I know I know I am a bit behind on visiting the Smyrna Food Truck Tuesdays, but I had to share our experience there. We went last week and this week September 24th will be your last opportunity to go this year.
The Smyrna Food Truck Tuesdays ran from May til September every Tuesday night in Smyrna, GA at Taylor Brawner Park. The greatest part is that a portion of proceeds will benefit Smyrna Education Fund. So even if being out in the community, listening to an array of music and having the best food trucks in the city all at one centralized location doesn’t move you at least visit once in support of the Smyrna Education Foundation.

Overall it was a bit overwhelming for someone who was visiting for the first time and with two young boys nonetheless. With that said most new experiences with the boys are a bit overwhelming for this mom when the hubby isn’t there to help manage the chaos. Now that I have been there I now know what to expect and will be prepared when I come the next time.
TIPS:
GET THEIR EARLY
: It began at 6:00 we arrived at 6:30 and lucked upon a spot less than a block away, but the friends I met up with weren’t so luck (try a half a mile at least) YIKES!
CHECK OUT THE MENUS ONLINE
: I spent more time checking out each individual menu (while keeping one eye on my little guys) than I did enjoying the atmosphere.
BRING A BLANKET & BUG SPRAY
: Although I was prepared with both, but I saw many parents around me who were not.
DRESS YOUR CHILDREN IN BRIGHT CLOTHES
: Their were so may kids there that it became a task to pick out your own kid in a crowd just five feet away. My boys had hats on so that helped SLIGHTLY.
LIGHTS OUT
: There are no lights surrounding the playground, only dim light on pathway. All the more reason to get there early eat, enjoy the music and allow the children to play prior to the sun setting.
The boys and I had a great time and that is all because of my last tip. Take a few good friends with you as you head out to enjoy the last Smyrna Food Truck Tuesday of the year,good company is the icing on the cake!
